You may notice that one type of food shows up more often than the other. The foods that go into the "Food 2" box are generated from data listing DoorDash's monthly app downloads from 2020 to 2024. The data controlling the foods that go into "Food 1" lists the number of SNAP participants from 2020 to 2024. The drastic difference is meant to bring attention to how instant online food delivery is compared to the uncertainty that comes with food insecurity. It's not always thought of, and can be overshadowed by the convenience of today's food delivery market.
